Kingston University students present Reframe 2025 media conference

Kingston University students will front a media symposium at John Galsworthy Campus later this month.

Reframe 2025 will see students showcase their final projects, as well as offering a unique opportunity to explore and discuss the latest thinking in the media today.

The final year Journalism and Media students will present work across seven different subject areas, including: popular culture, music and media, sport society and culture, technology and digital futures,. The conference will dive into and provide insight into emerging trends, challenges, and innovations in the media landscape.

The symposium will be led and run by students, where they will be taking on many different roles including chairs, who will lead each respective topic and question and unpack the discussion. On the day, students will present their chosen Final Major Projects which will detail what aspect of media they are researching.

Attendees will have the chance to engage with presentations, participate in Q&A sessions, and hear fresh perspectives on key topics, including media ethics, AI in journalism, diversity in media, audience engagement strategies.

“Reframe 2025 is an incredible opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and engage with the ideas that are shaping the media industry today,” says Maria Mencia, a module leader at Kingston School of Arts.

Reframe 2025: Rethinking, Refocus, Reimagine Media takes place on 15 and 16 December between 2 to 6pm in room 2006 at John Galsworthy campus.
